Finally thanks should go out to our dedicated staff that provided an exemplary level of service during the extensive theatre renovations. This was achieved despite the tremendous inconveniences and disruptions experienced during the multiple phases when various sections of theatre were closed. No lives were endangered and very few procedures postponed despite all the problems encountered.

A very successful "Open Day" was organised on 12 June 2001 to mark the formal re-opening of the JD Allen Theatres.

Our staff is appreciative of the new facilities that have been provided and hopefully the modernisation of equipment for use in these theatres will follow in the not too distant future.
