Staff Residences

The nurses residence can house 1'300 people. It contains a Laundromat with 54 automatic washing machines, and as many industrial tumbledriers.

There is also a lecture auditorium in the residence which is regularly used for meetings and lectures.

Due to budget constraints less students are now accepted for training leaving the facilities not fully occupied. To fully utilise the building the management have decided to move the research departments into the nurses residence. These departments are now busy upgrading the building with private funds.

The doctor’s quarters can house 80 staff members. The doctors and matrons quarters consist of 36 flats. A maximum of 1 year accommodation will be granted to an occupant. Interns and community service doctors will get preference.

Two of the flats will be changed into VIP flats to house VIP visitors from overseas.
