Head: Mr Robert Matodzi (Director Finance & Procurement)

Robert Matodzi started working in the public service in 1981. His qualifications, which include a postgraduate Diploma in Health Management and a National Diploma in Public Management and Administration, as well as vast experience in the field of finance made him the ideal candidate for the position he holds at present.

Since February 1987 until April 1996 he has been working as an accountant for different departments, including the office of the State President. He progressed through the ranks, from being a Clerk Grade II (1981) to becoming an Acting District Senior Manager (2001).

His duties in this position included, amongst others, managing the following:

• Management of the district budget
• Provisioning administration
• Human resource development
• District and Regional Hospitals Primary Health Care
• Professional welfare
• Social development
